A First Pirate Birthday

As party girls, the most exciting thing for us is when we get a cool theme to work with! So when a past client of ours reached out and told us her second daughter was turning one and wanted to do a pirate party we thought, AWESOME! What a fun theme for a little girl!

First things first, we got our client in touch with a venue we’ve hosted a ton of parties for in the past - Maman. They have such a pretty little restaurant which makes decorating a party in there a breeze!

Something we’ve done for decor there time after time in this venue is make a big statement backdrop. It is so impactful for guests to walk into the main space and see this. It also works as a perfect setting for our dessert station, which guests always enjoy!

Over the top we added a fun asymmetrical balloon garland in our color palette to make the backdrop a little more whimsical.

On the actual table we loaded up with a ton of themed treats, starting with this fabulous cake by Making that Cake!

Other treats that we filled the table with included mini cupcakes with pirate toppers, chocolate covered pretzel sticks, and cake pops.

On the other side of the room, we did a long kids table with dramatic mylar and latex balloons going down the center.

At each settings the kids had a pirate plate along with an eye patch for them to wear during the party!

We also made a table full of these super cute custom favors and some hats for the kids to take home.

Finally, we set up a kids corner. For kids of this age group its always nice to have a place where they can sit, especially if you have a performer / entertainment of some type! To make this area feel special we added a pirate carpet, map inspired pillows, and of course balloons!

We had such a fun time designing and styling this party for little Adeline. Can’t wait for the next one!
